The functionality is available for Policies, Claims,
Brokers and also all claims suppliers. The documents
are stored in the ORACLE database meaning that
they are part of the backup procedures and also
secured from unauthorised access.
Documents are easily viewed in numerous places and
are always linked to allow for easy retrieval. All
original documents are never destroyed and cannot
be altered.

Broker Structure
The system has the functionality to capture and structure broker and agents in branches and business units as
required. The structure is very flexible and can be made as complex or simple as required. Detailed information
is captured for each broker including type of entity, and all qualifications, banking and personal indemnity
information where applicable. The system allows for the linking of specific insurers and products to a broker, that
way the broker can be managed to only sell and advise on products that they are allowed to sell.
Reporting
The ISSUE reporting module has been developed to supply required reporting in terms of legislative formats
including SAM, TCF and POPI.

THE ISSUE policy administration module is driven by the
product configuration engine. Information is captured

General Ledger
The ISSUE General ledger module is completely integrated with both the underwriting and claims modules, this results in a seamless and automated interaction between the roles. IFRS accounting standards are maintained throughout the financial module including functionality like multiple levels of release and individual user limits. A fully configurable set of accounts is possible right through the spectrum of control, bank, income, expense and general accounts.
Premium Collection
The ISSUE Claims module delivers an enterprise wide claims platform that helps risk carriers dramatically improve
claims efficiency and lower claims costs while improving customer satisfaction. It accomplishes this by cutting
claims resolution times, improving adjuster productivity, ensuring consistent claims adjusting and managing the
hand-offs between different claims roles within your company.

manage all of the actions involved with a claim, capture
the necessary data to settle the claim, and ensure that
all adjustment activities such as reserving and
payments are assigned and completed.


Recoveries
Recognition of recovery potential, such as salvage
and subrogation potential, can be automated with
the Business Rules Processor. Additionally, once
recovery potential is identified, the claim file can be
automatically forwarded to the appropriate
department or person by use of Assignment
Manager. This functionality reduces missed
opportunities and can significantly increase the
amount recovered.
Settlement
Claim settlement activities such as expense and
indemnity payments, repeating payments like legal
cost, and closeout of reserves is streamlined. Our

payments in bulk via electronic payment

USSD Applications
Introduction
USSD has the unique advantage of offering a simple
browsing experience through a menu system.
• The interface works on all handsets and all cellular
networks.
• It has a distinct advantage over SMS as it is cheaper
for the consumer and offers a “session” based
interaction similar to browsing a Mobi site.
• No internet connection is required and no App needs
to be installed.
Technical
• Costs: R0.20 per 20 seconds which can be reverse
billed to the supplier or charged to the consumer.
• Network time outs range from 3-5 minutes.
• Characters are limited to 160, just like SMS.
• It works best with quantitative feedback
• Words and sentences are accepted as user input.
• We are able to link it on a data level to the ISSUE
Core, we have also created a Microsoft CRM Add On
• Functionality requests for USSD applications are all
bespoke due to the nature of the interfaces.
